Detailed Notes:

We must admit to being mystified as to why Server4You, a well known larger European server provider, should have such a price difference between identical products on its US and European websites - one would have to be mad to pay so much extra for the same thing in Euros than Dollars. However, to be frank, given the not just last generation but generation before 2002/2003 server hardware on offer, you would be crazy to go for this at all considering what is available from competitors. This particular one is one of many cheap server deals they have available - we chose the above as the best bang for the buck, so they have far worse deals on offer.

These are dreadful servers. No responsible company would attempt to sell them because they cannot but fleece their customers. Note however that we have no personal experience of this company, and perhaps their customer support is very good (a quick search around the internet does not suggest them to be much better than OVH or other low cost dedicated hosting providers).

Pros:

None.

Cons:

Crappy CPU, Memory, Memory Bandwidth, HD and most especially really crappy network transfer. Inconsistent pricing across currencies.

Verdict:

Considering how much better value for money competitors are, don't buy under any circumstances unless someone is holding a gun to your head.
